Read moreThe SICEA Project is a Transparency International programme covering 11 countries across four regions of the African continent. The West Africa Regional Hub is coordinated by ANCE-Togo and brings together national chapters in Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Togo.
It enables civil society to engage in relevant legal accountability mechanisms and strengthen advocacy efforts to advance anti-corruption reforms more effectively.
The SICEA Project was a godsend. The project's initiatives have helped strengthen collaboration among stakeholders in support of the implementation of the right to information. Furthermore, ANCE's advocacy efforts led to the inclusion of two actions in Objective 2.2 of the National Anti-corruption Strategy: 2.2.1. Effective implementation of the right to information law; and 2.2.2. Adoption and implementation of the whistleblowers protection law. Finally, the project facilitated the adoption of a draft bill on the creation of a National Financial Prosecutor's Office.
